Siem Reap is now the golf centre of Cambodia with three Championship courses. It is also home to the famous Angkor Wat. So here we have golf with a little sightseeing. Get up early to take your pictures and then head off to the course.
Phokeethra is the established course with wide fairways and an abundance of water. The latest addition Siem Reap Lakes is as its name implies also well endowed with lakes. Both courses are championship standard.
Down town Siem Reap is centred around the old market. 3 or 4 streets full of restaurants and bars playing chilled out music and serving superb Khmer cuisine. A great spot to have a few beers and watch the world go by.
You get about by tuk tuk, and taxi. Once you are there Siem Reap is cheap. BKK Air has the monopoly on the Bangkok route but you can also fly in from KL & SIN as well as many other Asian cities.
