Kota Kinabalu is in Sabah, Malaysia. There are direct flights from KL, HK, Manila and Singapore. It is very easy to connect through KL as there are many flights a day from there.
Sutera Harbour Resort is on the edge of Kota KInabalu and right on the beach. The 27 hole Graham Marsh designed course is one of the best in Malaysia.
The resort is set on a small peninsular comprising 2 hotels, a marina and the golf club. On the courses water comes into play on all 3 nines but the fairways are wide enough to make it an enjoyable challenge for all levels
Kota Kinabalu has some excellent restaurants and bars and there is a surprisingly varied nightlife.
